Does anyone else find this cover off-putting? Something about it strikes me as down right creepy.

- I'm done with my freshman year. It has ended far too soon, but the funny thing about time is that you can't stop it from continuing. It marches on while the rest of us are drug behind. We are never left behind. No, time is not kind enough for that; we get drug along if we don't run along. For the most part, I prefer to run, but lately I've been wanting to stop and take a breather. Now, I've run down a rabbit trail with my thoughts. This block is supposed to be "About Me." Let's start over...I like coffee.

Do you remember driving to Houston to pick up the antique console tube amp? As we drove into town we passed a large arena (formerly the Houston Rockets arena) next to the interstate. I pointed out at the time that it was Lakewwod Church the home of Joel Osteen. He is a story telling, make you feel good, motivational minister. The gospel is somewhere (sometimes?) in his message but mostly it’s about you and improving your life. Naturally to appeal in our culture one must be as winsome as you can, hence the airbrushed photo the looks so unreal (he reminds you of a smooth complected thin Tim Allen, doesn’t he?). One wonders which of the seven lamp stands his church might?

I don't know? Something looks very calculated about who he may be going after with this. Just look at what mom said about it. Now pretend she is single with no family. Lonely. Vulnerable group, I think, so motive is a hard one to pin on him. But, I agree it looks alittle too polished, (fake.)
When I look at the cover, my pupils and irises become black and white swirls, and I find myself saying: "Yes, yes, yes, yes...." forever for eternity.
Also, I swoon.
